Stanhope and Barnard Classes enjoy going out on weekly educational visits. As a real treat we were invited to visit the local fire station at Sniperley. And what a treat it was!
First we were shown some of the features that a fire engine has but right away we were allowed to hold the hose and aim the spray. We managed to keep ourselves dry during this great activity.
Then the firemen got their Aerial Ladder Platform ready. Those of us who were brave enough had the chance to go up to 50 feet high! What a view!
Finally we got a ride in one of the fire engines with the sirens on. Surprisingly the sirens are louder outside the fire engine then when you are sitting inside.
We all had a good time and like to thank the firemen on the Green Watch of Sniperley Community Fire Station for a great afternoon!
