The whole curriculum is designed and delivered to meet individual needs, whilst incorporating EYFS, National Curriculum and Post 16 requirements as appropriate.
The school has curriculum policies for all subjects. If you wish to read these please contact school. Key Stage Curriculum overviews (click here and then select department required from the right hand menu to access the relevant documents) have been developed. These outline all the subjects and their coverage per Key Stage. This is a very helpful document for those who wish to gain an overview of the whole curriculum within a particular Key Stage.
As an integral part of the curriculum pupils may access facilities outside of the school environment. This may include planned off site educational visits to support the curriculum being delivered at that time; access to facilities that are not available in school e.g. New College and Houghall for Key Stage 4 pupils; a range of sporting venues etc.
In addition school welcomes a variety of contacts in school to further enhance all aspects of the curriculum. Such activities may take place in specific lessons, be delivered through assemblies or be organised as special events in the school calendar (e.g. careers convention, Japanese Enterprise, fund raising activities, visiting theatre groups etc.).
