Assessment – Target setting and Measuring Pupil Progress
Pupil progress is tracked and measured on an individual basis using one of three B Squared Connecting Steps Assessment Programmes: Early Years Developmental Goals measured in months, P Levels and Stages (based upon the former National Curriculum Levels) and Adult Core Curriculum Milestones and Entry Levels.
Challenging targets are set for each pupil on an individual basis, following a baseline assessment targets are set using the following guidelines:
- PMLD + ASD : 7 to 25% expected progress
- SLD + ASD: 20 to 40% expected progress
- MLD + ASD: 50 to 80% expected progress

All the pupils in Year 6 were working below Level 4.
