‘The School Games is a unique opportunity to motivate and inspire millions of young people across the country to take part in more competitive school sport.’
Here at Durham Trinity we aim to get as many pupils as possible participating in the school games. Below you will find some information on the set up of the school games and the possible progression for our pupils. See below for a gallery of our pupils in action at the School Games.
The School Games are made up of four levels of activity: competition in schools, between schools, and at a county/area level:
Over the past few years we have had a number of pupils who have gone on to represent school and county, with some even attending national events. The events in which we have had success have been Boccia, New Age Kurling, Wheelchair Basketball and Fencing to name but a few. In the future we hope to have more pupils involved in more sports.
